Technical There is an upgrade program to upgrade the standard MiG-21bis to the MiG-21-93 version. This upgrade contains: New weapons - RVV-AE, R-27R1, R-27T1, R73E air-to-air missiles - organic weapons retained. New Avionics - fire control system built around the KOPYO multimode radar - helmet-mounted target designation system - head-up display, multifunctional display - new navigation, radio communication, electronic countermeasures and KARAT flight data monitoring recording and processing systems.
