2. Bulgaria
The Ministry of defence of Bulgaria has ordered 5 C-27J aircraft with an option of 3 more. The C-27J will replace the An-126 which are now in service with the Air Force of Bulgaria.


3. Greece
The Greece air force has ordered 12 airplanes with an option of 3. The first spartan was delivered in 2005.


4. Italy
In 2001 the aircraft was ready. The Italian Air Force has ordered 12 airplanes to replace the G.222. The first airplanes have be delivered in july 2005. They are stationed on the air force base of Pisa.
From 2008, C-27J's have been send to Afghanistan.


5. Lithuania

11. United States
The United States had ordered 78 C-27J Spartan aircraft for the United States Army (54) and the United States Air Force (28). The final planning was to have a fleet of 145 aircraft of which 75 for the Army and 70 for the Air Force.

They will replace the Army's C-23 Sherpas, C-23 Metroliners and C-12 Hurons and in the air force to support the C-130 Hercules fleet.
On October 16, 2008 the first C-27J was delivered to the US Army.

All funding for the project has disappeared. The entire project was assigned from the Army to the Air Force while the army is still assisting the air force. Only 38 C-27J's will be purchased for the Army. The United States army has currently 2 C-27J Spartans which are with the US Army Aviation Flight Test Directorate.
